According to Bungie, one easy way to fix the problem is to simply close the Destiny 2 application out, and then relaunch it. Should this method of turning it off and on again not work, then the developer suggests that players try clearing out their console cache. Both of these solutions seem to be working, as many Guardians have been reporting that the Director screen for Year 4 has properly refreshed itself after restarting the game.
With Destiny 2: Forsaken’s Last Wish raid set to go live tomorrow, it would be understandable if many Guardians yet to reach the required power level for the event had a slight scare after encountering the Director UI bug. After all, if Bungie hadn’t been able to find a fix for it as quickly as it did, then some players might have been stuck waiting interminably until a new patch came from the developer.
All things considered, though, it’s great to see that Bungie was so quick to respond to the problem as soon as the Destiny 2 community brought it to the developer’s attention. With any luck, tomorrow’s launch for Last Wish will go as smoothly as possible, and Guardians will be able to take on what is being touted as the game’s greatest challenge yet without having to encounter any unforeseen issues.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
